Assisted Living Facility Owner Arrested for Stealing Veterans Funds E-mail

Peacock, 40, owned and operated Orchard Meadows Assisted LivingFacility.
Investigators with the Florida Attorney Generals Office determined that Peacock diverted at least 12 monthly Veteran Disability checks worth more than$11,000 to his own business accounts.


The checks were received by OrchardMeadows after the resident had moved from the facility.
Peacock is charged with 13 counts of grand theft and one count of exploiting a disabled adult, all third-degree felonies.


If convicted of all charges, he faces up to 70 years in prison and a fine of $70,000.
Peacock is currently being held at the Madison County jail.
