A bitter battle for Endesa ends

The German energy giant E.ON agreed to drop its €42.4 billion offer for Endesa in exchange for a promise from rival bidders to sell it part of the Spanish utility's assets. The decision ended an 18-month fight that raised questions about the commitment of member countries to Europe's open market.

What does this mean to us?

Well we have to look at the big picture in order to see the chess pieces moving around.

Putin is playing around with the power utility in that country...germany and Spain are having a shake up. And we had our Enron ...we also have not solved the problems Enron created. The game is still being played out across the corporation divide.

Camouflage
From the trenches of war to the salons of haute couture.

yeah, I know this is off the beaten track. I rarely talk this kind of girlie stuff. Red heads can look ok in camouflage but ..most women like to be seen..... Isn't that right? At least in our 20's we like to flaunt it . I remember in the late 80s early 90's the teens had a fling with camouflage...was that due to the Desert Storm thing?

I grew up shopping on military bases and I never saw it being marketed there for anything other than military gear .....

I have just get through listening to Newt Gingrich and I have to say that I agree with him...he just put that EXTRA ...we are better than you spin on it at the end.....It seems to be a trademark to speaking these days... A throwback of the sitcom...it has seeped in to day to day communications. It is pitiful...but..

Newt has a point. THat is , he would have a point if we were not already into a North America Union that includes Mexico.

Personally,I think the writer of this link is trying to whip Latinos up into a frenzy. If I was to move to another country. I would be immersed into the language and it would be hard but I would eventually get it.

BYU Campus Protests Dick Cheney Speech

Seems the Students don't think Mr Cheney is a good example for them and they do not want to be associated with him  or the bad intel he has promoted. I support that decision

Court rules against EPA

In a stinging reprimand of the Bush administration's policy on global warming, the Supreme Court yesterday ruled the Clean Air Act expressly authorizes the Environmental Protection Agency to limit greenhouse-gas emissions.

Now THIS may be one of those items that on the surface it seems like a solution but it may be one of those pre planned solutions. I have to take a wait and see attitude on it. The same with the global warming legislations after all, Bush had ordered changes to the EPA reports so we do not know where that rabbit hole really leads.

Seattle to pay WTO protesters $1 million

A federal jury ruled earlier this year that the city was liable for arresting protesters without probable cause, and the city agreed to seal its records of those arrests.

Why is it the only way to get Justice is to Sue. It doesn't seem right...most of the time using that method the persons who have been wronged get screwed Double and sometimes triple
