The con-do shrink? E-mail

She lives in a posh Trump Place apartment and is married to a wealthy investment banker.

But that apparently wasn't enough for a beautiful jailhouse psychologist - who allegedly went looking for love on the cellblock.

Magdalena Sanchez, 35, is accused of having an illicit romp with an inmate under her care at the federal lockup in Brooklyn.

The affair allegedly took place sometime between September 2005, when the seductive shrink began working at the Metropolitan Detention Center, and February 2006, when she resigned the $70,000 job.

Court papers do not specify where in the jail she and the prisoner allegedly had their rendezvous, or whether he's the one who ratted her out.

In addition to the sex charges, Sanchez is in hot water for allegedly lying to Justice Department investigators when they questioned her about the alleged lockup hookup.

"She falsely represented to a special agent ... that she had not had a sexual relationship with an inmate at the MDC," the indictment says.

Sanchez appeared in court yesterday to plead not guilty to charges that could land her behind bars for up to five years.

Magistrate Cheryl Pollak released her on $100,000 bond and ordered her to undergo mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment.

Despite the indictment, the dark-haired looker was granted permission to travel to Las Vegas next month for a prescheduled trip.

Dressed demurely in black slacks and a starched white blouse, Sanchez said nothing to reporters. She swept out of the courthouse with sunglasses and a black cap pulled low.

Her banker husband was not at her side, but sources familiar with the case said he's standing by his straying spouse.

The couple live in a sixth-floor apartment at Trump Place, the luxury complex on the West Side where one-bedroom apartments rent for more than $4,000 a month.

Prosecutor Sarah Coyne said in court that plea negotiations have been underway with Sanchez. If convicted, she faces the loss of her state license, as well as jail time.

Sanchez, who is from California, earned her master's degree at the New School in Greenwich Village.

She also served as a volunteer with the Peace Corps in Guatemala and as an interpreter at Bellevue Hospital before taking the prison job.

Sanchez's lawyer, former Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch, declined to comment.

Her husband's family seemed to be in the dark about the scandal.

"I wasn't even aware of it," one of her in-laws said when contacted yesterday. "Thank you for the information."

At Trump Place - also home to former Miss USA Tara Conner, who was shamed by a booze scandal just three months ago - tenants expressed surprise.

"It's hard to believe that someone living here would do something like that," said one of Sanchez's neighbors.
