Good Morning Everyone.

Not so cold today. Thankfully. It felt like Christmas time yesterday but I could have  a tiny bug. I took some night time cold medicine and slept like a baby and feel a bit better this morning.

In my area of the country we had a sinkhole drink up a river

this is the second time in 2 years.....

Drought conditions affecting Peace River
The recent lack of rain may be jeopardizing the water supply of Charlotte County. Residents get most of their water from the Peace River, but drought conditions have actually dried up large sections of the river.

I know this is not important to some people. There has been a major war going on for who controls and will control the water rights of this usually robust river.......

Another thing that has me irked is Florida has decreased the amount of Snapper fishermen can catch. This is not a law imposed on commercail fishermen but people trying to feed themselves from the shoreline and Snapper is the easiest to catch.

The law is now limited ti 2 snapper allowed...that will not feed a family. A fisherman friend of mmine said that they have taken the fun out of fishing for your dinner and that is crime in my book. People should be able to feed their families in times of crisis and in Florida one thing you could always do is throw a hook in the water and chances were you would bring dinner home.....the other was if something happened you could sleep under the stars but that is against the law too unless you can pay someone for the right....That is criminal to do this...some say it is the capitalist way but  I do not think that is what God intended.

Speaking of housing.... I wasn't aware that military housing had been privatized...did you?

In 2001, five years after Congress enacted privatization, the Pentagon estimated that nearly two-thirds of all military housing needed to be replaced.
A 2006 General Accounting Office report said 16 of 44 projects awarded by the end of 2005 had occupancy rates below expectations, leading developers to rent to civilians. All residents must pass a background check, including defense contractors and retired veterans.

Developers are allowed to do so if occupancy falls low enough, otherwise developers might shy away from projects viewed as financial risks.

Stop the presses. Does this sound secure to you?

I used to be able to drive on base and into base housing in a Pre 9-11 world so WHAT"S THIS????

With all my going on about Kay Griggs and the Cherry Marines, along with her tales that included blackmail for homosexual  activities and other indescreet sexual behavior..I found this story interesting..

Researchers Suggest Cold War Figure's Chief Accuser Was Motivated By Revenge After Advances Were Rejected

That sounds about right now doesn't it?
