A special agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Miami was arrested Wednesday morning on charges he gave an official favor in exchange for a $5,000 donation to his son's little league baseball team.
Ramon Llorca, 44, of Plantation agreed to register an individual as a confidential informant in Feb. 2007 in exchange for the payment, according to a federal indictment. He is also accused of embezzling $2,500 earmarked to pay a confidential informant between Oct. 2006 and Jan. 2007.
If convicted on bribery and embezzlement charges, he faces a maximum sentence of 35 years.
