Swanny Note: These Chickens didn't  jump.

The airport on the Spanish tourist island of Ibiza was evacuated yesterday after what appears to have been a hoax bomb threat was called in to a newspaper often used by Basque separatists for bomb warnings.

Police searched the airport and found two suspicious items - a shoe box and a backpack in the parking lot, officials said. The bag was destroyed and the shoe box was searched by a remote-controlled robot but turned out to be empty.

A spokeswoman for the AENA, which controls Spain's airports, said that by yesterday afternoon the airport had returned to normal.

Yesterday's incident came during the peak holiday season for Ibiza, a hot vacation spot in the Balearic Islands.
