KISSIMMEEE -- A police officer faces a sex charge after a 15-year-old accused him of inappropriately touching her, authorities said Saturday.

Kissimmee police officer Leo Martinez was arrested Friday and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person over 18. He was later released from jail on $10,000 bond.

He was suspended without pay pending an internal investigation. Martinez turned himself in to the Seminole County jail.

Authorities said the girl told deputies that in July, while Martinez spent the night at her family's house, he climbed on top of her in bed and kissed her neck and ear. She screamed and kicked at him until he left her alone.

Swanny Note: Why isn't the charge assault  added in also? This is a Police Officer for Heaven's Sake. A Police Officer is supposed to be SAFE around ALL Children , whether it is a Teen or a TOT!
