The State of the State Address should have been an SOS to the nation as the State of Florida sinks further into the abyss

with Tallahassee hoping if they don't talk about it no one will notice. Nobody important anyway.

It is more than just the Real Estate market crumbling. It is People. People's lives are crumbling and there is no way out and there is no reason why people can't make a living ANYWHERE right?

Gov. Charlie Crist said during his State of the State address Tuesday evening that Florida's economy still "ranks ahead of most nations of the world," and "we set a model at which others can marvel." Perhaps Florida was a marvel at one time  on how so many people could live here with so little industry.

I lived through the Florida depression when NASA hit a hump in the Budget process in the late 60"s when every dime was being pumped into the war machine.

It wasn't pretty.

Half the homes were empty because there were no jobs to afford the housing that a "budget empty" Space Agency and those Agency's that built NASA left behind.

And then after that was the gas crisis which was fake but still it left its own impact.

Glass was replaced by plastic because it weighed less and so there for burned less fuel to ship it. I believe that was the propaganda at the time .

So now, in 2008, A developer turned Governor, Jeb Bush,  leaves Florida in one of the worst economic mess and no one is calling for an

investigation even though much of the escalation in prices was just a bunch of shady deals and not halted or investigated in any way shape or form

This has snowballed across the nation and ultimately the world? And all people want to talk about is bad loans made to dead beats.

Sorry, that isn't cutting it with me.

We have insurance companies extorting money from people and the State of Florida calling  such extortionists an Industry and also lapping up the milk in fines  it brings.

What are we going to do when the State suspends everyones license because there is no money in the personal budget for the forced Auto Insurance.?

Are we all going to be called deadbeats and deemed worthless?

That, myfriends, is the road we are all headed.

This stuff didn't just happen. No there have been many people that have been sounding many alarms since the 2000 election , and even before that.

This Snowball has been growing right along with anti deppressant prescriptions. Yet , no one says squat about it or have they?

Yes, there have been lots of folks sounding the alarm about that too and I have a feeling it has a lot to do with our arriving at where we are today  searching for the magic key that will take all our problems away.

In order to get to the level in which we CAN grab a hold and lift ourselves up is to really talk about the problems and what
has gotten us here to begin with. And that is the nut that is hard to crack.


Why is NOW that the alarms of State are sounding when this has been going on since I moved back down to Florida in 1999?
Why has opinion been against people that have stood up and said that things were wrong when they have been proven through

time to have been speaking the truth. Why are liars held up to be honest men that love God and Country when it is more than apparent that the truth is not in them nor is the love of God in them.

Just today this was in a news article:

Mary Helen Kress, president and chief executive of the Suncoast Workforce Board, administers the three state employment

offices at Jobs Etc. in Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice.

She says pickings are slim for those seeking work.

"It is just so sad because we don't have that much to offer them, so few companies are hiring right now," Kress said.

During February, she said, her three offices fielded 8,800 job seekers.


93 jobs for 8800 people to fight over . Of course those people have most likely been trying to get State assistance and were told to go
to JobsEct.

That isn't real positive and the News reports get worse daily.

One has to wonder what else is going to happen to "jump start" the economy that has been so badly managed by a man who  ran 2 companies into the
ground and who has done the same to the Proud Nation of the United States.

"For that number of job seekers, we only have 93 jobs open right now," she said.

they also mentioned the FACTS as they really are, not like we have been told :

The elimination of 63,000 jobs in February was the largest number since March 2003 and marked the second month in a row of job losses.

The last time the economy suffered two consecutive months of job losses was in May and June 2003, when the labor market was still struggling to recover
from the blows of the 2001 recession.

We have been told it is OUR lack of inititive that we could not make any gains in the business market.

We , in fact have been trying to roll with the punches and to hold out for better days because we have always been taught that hard work gets you somewhere in life.

But, that is not the case.

As I drove along a once bustling US 41 in the "richest" area of Sarasota Florida, it would be hard to not notice the empty

shops, and restaurants. The restaurants remaining are the corporate run. Most of the service fields have also been undercut by the Corporate Monster.

 In otherwords, The small business owner is being shut out. MORE IMPORTANT  is that the Individual is being Cut out.

Instead, they want to talk about giving corporations more government pull by centralizing our health care when one of the biggest things that is ailing us all is the Industry that the government wants to place their bets with.

In the meantime,

our governments want the right to have their way with us. Always with the caviat that it is for our protection.

Who is going to protect us from the protectors?
They will get hungry too!

Some of the businesses were probably closed due to the fact that the State of Florida has been trying to squeeze the taxes out of business owners

and many business owners got sucked into the trap of having their businesses appraise for more during the fake real estate scam that went on across the United States.

Just as the many home owners that decided to take out the equity in their homes
 and make improvements.
Those people now owe more than their homes are worth. Just as I saw in the 80's.

The tax man though weilds a lot of power. Like just taking your money out of the accounts and as a rule, if you haven't paid your taxes , there is a reason.

Of course then the paychecks and any other checks the business has written
bounces.

I believe that is the case  for one of the Restaurant Chains in our area. Next thing you know they are arresting the owner of the restaurant for writing bad checks.

 How do I know about this? Well, The State has frozen our account and wiped it clean before.

Just the other day a flier was placed near my mailbox. It said it was a Crime Watch notice and encouraging people to look out for the neighborhood.

I know there are these types of things but one thing that really upset me was the mentioning of stopping the homeless living in the woods and vacant lots.

 While I understand the angst, I also know I have one foot in those woods and in that vacant lot.

 The haves are ready to make battle on those that no longer have theirs.
