ORLANDO (AP) -- Health officials have identified a fourth case of
Legionnaire's disease in central Florida.
Orange County's health department says all four people diagnosed with the
potentially fatal respiratory illness had stayed at a Quality Suites hotel in
Orlando in late February or early March.
The medical status of the new patient identified Friday is not known. The
health department says two other people are recovering after being released from
the hospital, but a third is hospitalized.
The disease is caused by an organism that occurs naturally in water. Symptoms
include headaches, loss of appetite, aches, pains, fever and coughing. It cannot
be spread from person to person.
The department has cleared the hotel of any problems.
