Local writers to appear at AuthorFest

Books-A-Million will hold a Summer AuthorFest 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 23 at the newly remodeled Port Charlotte store.

AuthorFest will be a gathering of local authors who will be featured that day in the store, which is located at the Village Marketplace on U.S. 41, 1825 Tamiami Trail. The event is free, and open to all customers and aspiring writers.

A few of the authors who will attend that day to promote their books are Ed Mitchell, Don Moore, Sam Stahl, Samar Dahmash Jarrah, Miriam Griffith, Sally Simon, Charlotte Williamson, Peter Burnett, Roy Sannella and Edward Joseph Begen. Newspaper columnist James Abraham will also be on hand with a newly released book that contains many of his columns.
