Florida Asks Drivers To Conserve Gas E-mail

The hurricane season is still young and Florida is already facing a gas shortage.

Hurricane Dennis hit the Panhandle hard and people there are struggling to find gasoline

That is what WESH reported.

What we have noticed in this area is that we seem to have a lack of all but Premium gas

during pre and post hurricane times.

Has any one else noticed this?

Back to the WESH report ....

The problem is so severe that state officials are asking residents in Central Florida to cut back on driving as much as possible so that supplies can go north.
To put the shortage in perspective, about 3 million gallons came into port Wednesday and another 2 million made it to gas stations.
But Florida goes through 25 million gallons of gas every day.
