Is Verizon  the great Satan?

Anytime I deal with Verizon I swear I can't believe how one company could be such a mess yet still expanding without providing the outstanding and excellent service they brag about.
Everytime the service that is the life blood of our company mentions the excellent service their employees are giving us ...I really don't know what to say about that. I know if I was in charge of many aspects of their customer service department(if they REALLY have one) Many heads would roll and the different departments would talk to each other. I don't know how a company can expand without a head running the entire show,

How many times is it necessary to repeat contact information. The computer system has already identified your account information. So why is it necessary to then repeat the same information everytime the phone call is transfered. When I complain about this, I am not talking about 1 or 2 times but an endless repeat of the process.

Now, when that phone process came out a few years back, it was supposed to save time. But whose time is it supposed to save? Not mine!

No, my complaint isn't about their phone service. Although , now with their "upgrade" with FIOS..I suppose it is another complaint. They used to provide good phone service. Now it is combined with the FIOS TV and Internet service so when the internet goes down...so does the phone. So, you need to have another phone to let them know about your outage. Which is a problem in itself. Yes, we have a cell phone with minutes but everytime this happens we have to renew our minutes most of the time and  since it take so long to get any results from the workers at Verizon, The servkice they give us COSTS us more money than just paying for their "Excellent" service.

As it is, since our new service, we have not been able to straighten out our bill. We were all paid up when we moved to this new location. I swear our phones haven't worked a great majority of the time.
We were charged nearly $1000 to install our FIOS system..which is the only internet choice in the area.
It was a comedy of errors with the installers who couldn't seem to figure out what they were doing.

One of the reasons we went with the bundle package with the phone was because we wanted a phone number in the Venice Phone book. A few years back, Verizon outsourced their advertising and ever since then  we have been dissatisfied with paying extra for their advertising. We still have that caught up in collections. What they did their was run an ad that we didn't sign off on and it was not up to our standards. We had cahnged some things and those things were not on the advertising. Verizon has attempted to extort money from us in a number of shady ways and there is no one person to go to and get everything ironed out to everyones satisfaction.

Not being able to fight the extra taxes and get an actual itemized bill that makes sense is another problem.

So, here we were on a Monday morning. No internet, no phone service and had used most of the minutes on the cell because all the calls were forwarded to the cell and the crazy person talking to us about Verizon wants to know if we would be interested in another service.  What was the service they are adding now? Handling credit card transactions  for business. Are they out of their minds?
