More than 300 marijuana plants seized

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - Walton County authorities say more than 300 marijuana plants have been seized and a man is facing drug charges.

Investigators were monitoring two marijuana patches in a wooded area yesterday when they saw 54-year-old Edward Blocker tend to the plants. Blocker was arrested at the scene.

Authorities say while searching his DeFuniak Springs home, they found marijuana seeds and items used to grow the drug.

Blocker is charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
