TALLAHASEE, FL-- Florida Governor Jeb Bush has issued a State of Emergency due to the recent wildfires burning through Florida.
As a result, a Price Gouging Law has been installed making it illegal to charge exorbitant or excessive prices in Florida for essential items, such as gas, shelter, food, water, ice, batteries and generators.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has opened a Price Gouging hotline to assist consumers who may face problems resulting from the wildfires.
