We share a world vision based on values of peace and social justice. Thinking globally but acting locally, we organize solidarity with our sisters and brothers through nonviolent actions to work toward these goals. Joining forces from varied backgrounds and differing viewpoints, we unite in our opposition to a U.S. foreign policy that dominates and attacks other countries for the interests of Big Business and financial elites. We oppose U.S. occupations and wars against Iraq and Afghanistan, and we stand against all forms of imperialism and militarist aggression. We assertively defend the Bill of Rights and seek to overturn the accelerating restrictions on our civil liberties. BAWC stands against all forms of racism and anti-immigrant chauvinism. We also oppose economic and social policies that neglect the majority while enriching the few.
BAWC welcomes anyone who shares these principles to participate fully in the life of the group. |
