The Florida Supreme Court has disbarred an Altamonte Springs attorney and reprimanded a Titusville attorney, according to The Florida Bar.

David J. Beasley, 499 N. State Road 434, Suite 2161, in Altamonte Springs, was disbarred from practicing law in Florida, effective immediately following a March 9 court order.

Beasley was admitted to practice in 1986. Violations included committing a criminal act that reflects adversely on his honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects; engaging in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice; and violating some rules regulating trust accounts.

In addition, Douglas Wayne Baker, 116 McNeela Drive in Titusville, was reprimanded for professional misconduct following an April 6 court order and placed on probation for an indefinite time period.

Admitted to practice in 1977, Baker was disciplined for committing an act unlawful or contrary to honesty and justice and one that reflects adversely on his honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects; and for failing to complete all requirements of the professionalism enhancement program.

Headquartered in Tallahassee, The Florida Bar is a statewide professional and regulatory organization for lawyers. It has more than 78,000 members.
