GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba Military officials say the alleged mastermind of Nine-Eleven is expected to face a hearing at the Guantanamo prison camp within three months. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (HAH'-leed shayk moh-HAH'-med) and 13 other "high-value" detainees were recently transferred from C-I-A custody to the U-S Navy base at Guantanamo Bay. The 14 will face Combatant Status Review Tribunals, which will determine whether they are enemy combatants. Officials say the detainees can refuse to appear, but the tribunals will be held regardless. If Mohammed appears, it would mark the first time he has been seen since his capture more than three years ago. Officials also say the detainees are being fed three times a day and have five daily opportunities to pray, as well as writing materials and recreational opportunities. The Red Cross has announced it will visit the new detainees next week. link
