This are slowing down so dramatically in the Florida Real Estate Market that a Man is getting ready to auction off advertising space n his 2 car garage door. By the looks of his neighborhood I wonder if there are deed restrictions and I also wonder how much traffic could pass by his house. His ad on Ebay says the successful Bidder will get TV and Newspaper coverage. Of course , if deed restrictions cause it to get painted over…well, you get the picture. But I must say, this was a good way of getting publicity that you have 40 houses in the neighborhood that are also selling. I wonder if all the houses look alike in these cookie cutter developments they build in Florida.
Curious?
Florida resident is offering a person or company an advertisement on his garage door for to help pay mortgage instead of trying to sell his home
RISMEDIA, October 2, 2006—Central Florida resident Karol (Carl) Gajda is thinking outside the box. In the coming months Gajda is moving from just outside Orlando back to his home state of Michigan. But with over 40 homes in his community for sale, and virtually none of them selling, he has decided on a different way to pay his Florida home's mortgage while he makes the move.
Gajda is auctioning off an advertisement on his two-car garage door for one full year. The auction is running on eBay through Thursday October 5, 2006. You can visit the auction directly at www.garagedoorad.com or search for user “paintmygarage” on eBay.
When asked how he thought of this idea Gajda recalls, "I had been writing down all the ideas I could think of with regards to selling my home. Nothing was jumping out at me as the way to go about it. Then, while eating dinner one night, I was thinking about outside advertising and wondering how I could integrate it into the sale of my house. The Garage Door Ad just came to me. I jumped on eBay and listed it right away."

Have fun thinking of ways to put advertising in YOUR life for cash.
