These Thanksgiving meals are offered on Thursday.

Bread of Life Mission staff has meals at noon at the following locations:

the Bread of Life Mission, 6454 Scott St., Punta Gorda;

Labor Finders, 4099 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte;

Gulf Coast Staffing Services, 4155 Whidden Blvd., Port Charlotte,

and

Able Body, 101 S. Manatee Ave., Arcadia.

The shelter will then serve dinners at the Santos Corner intersection of Boston Avenue and South Third Street, Immokalee, at 3 p.m. Call 941-575-4440.

The agency can still use food, money, blankets, jackets, volunteer and vehicles. Call 941-575-4440.

A Thanksgiving service and dinner highlights a celebration at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 100 S. Orange Ave., Arcadia, Thursday. The service begins at 9 a.m., and dinner is 10 a.m. to noon. The meal targets the needy, elderly and people who have no one to share the day with, Rev. Alvin Moore said. People can call for a ride. There will be free meals from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the community room at 1051 Albee Farm Road, Nokomis. To help with the meals or to volunteer ringing the Salvation Army kettles at the North Port Walgreens, Publix or Winn-Dixie, call 941-484-6227.

Trinity United Methodist Church in North Port serves at 2:30 p.m. It will be a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings. The church has room for 150 guests, and reservations are required. Call 941-426-1734 or stop by 4285 Wesley Lane to make reservations.

Gulf Cove United Methodist Church serves from noon-3 p.m. at 1100 McCall Road (State Road 776) in Gulf Cove, a half-mile west of the El Jobean bridge. Call 941-697-1747.

Englewood Foursquare Church and Friends of the Community serve from noon to 2 p.m. at Indian Mound Park, on Winston Avenue off Dearborn Street in Englewood. Call 941-475-7161.

First United Methodist Church of Punta Gorda has a Thanksgiving dinner with all the traditional foods from noon to 3 p.m. at the church, 507 W. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda. Call 941-639-3842.

Charlotte County Homeless Coalition serves at the Genesis Center from noon to 2 p.m. at 1476 Kenesaw St., Murdock. Kenesaw Street is two blocks west of Collingswood behind the fire station, two blocks south of State Road 776. Call 941-627-4313.

Cultural Center of Charlotte County, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte, serves from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It costs $9 in advance and $10 at the door. The menu includes soup, turkey or ham, stuffing and gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean and sweet potato casseroles, creamed onions, butternut squash, cranberry sauce, vegetables, salad, dinner rolls, coffee or tea and pie for dessert.
